The below workshops are part of an international workshop series accompanying the recent publication becoming—Feral. BECOMING is an ongoing eco-creative project comprising publications, workshops, events, and creative research to investigate the diverse reciprocal relationships between humans and Others.
This workshop will explore our human connection, interaction, and communication with land and more-than-human beings through music. Utilizing a framework of Scandinavian cow calling songs, we will explore the acoustic landscapes of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve!

All Ages Welcome
We’re seeking enthusiasts, citizen scientists, and climate keystone advocates of all ages to join us on our Beaver Moon Dusk Dance/Walk. Put on your rubber boots, slap on a headlamp and join us as we gently search for beavers as they emerge at dusk along the Bosque.
Did you know beavers are a keystone species? Did you know Beavers have been identified as a Climate Adaptation Tool for riparian recovery? Did you know the Rio Grande is in the World’s top 10 “at risk rivers” according to the World Wildlife Fund? Beavers are eager to mitigate North America’s water challenges! Come learn about how New Mexico can (and must) adopt an ACTIONABLE Beaver Management Plan.
November’s full moon is called a Beaver Moon. On 8 November, there is a Beaver Moon and midterm elections! Beavers know, all too well, our Climate Crisis is on the ballot. Sunday 6 November at 4pm at the Bosque Bike and River Trails you too can become a Beaver Believer. Under the near-full moon, Beavers might present themselves as they are ever-so eager to be climate recovery engineers!
